Evi was born in Kozani and grew up in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki.
She studied at the veterinary School of the University of During her studies, she had a voluntary participation in animal-friendly actions. For several years she has been an active member and President of IVSA (International Veterinary Students Association) of Thessaloniki. After graduating and having worked in the private practice of small animals and the Department of Veterinary Medicine for the Ministry of Rural Development and food, she continued her studies in Switzerland, where she undertook the PhD thesis at the Institute of Veterinary Bacteriology (IVB) of the veterinary Faculty of the University of Bern. Wishing to offer her homeland and bridge the Daily Veterinary Act with modern diagnostic methods, in 2017 she opened the veterinary clinic AnimalLab in Agia Paraskevi-Thessaloniki where she lives with her family.
In 2018 she received the PhD in Random gene disruption Mutant Library of Mycoplasma bovis using Transposon mutagenesis. She is the wife of the researcher veterinarian Elias Bouzalis and mother of two children.
